great stay with minor room comfort issues

The staff offered really good service, particularly the young lady who checked us in and served breakfast. The location is prime for shopping and sightseeing, right next to the iconic cathedral.

The hotel of choice in Canterbury. Perfect characterful venue with exceptional views of the cathedral. Lots of food for the continental breakfast. Clean room with good bathroom and hypo-allergenic pillows.

They had a continental breakfast that included yogurt and fresh fruit. The staff were pretty friendly people.

The rooms were airy with bathroom and the beds were comfortable. You could leave a car off site.

Very lovely stay, no complaint, we would be happy to recommend. It's a unique place with so very friendly staff and airy rooms. The setting is amazing and perfect, close to the cathedral, the centre of Canterbury and shops and coffes and restaurants.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the charming courtyard where we sipped our morning coffee and the cozy lounge perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. There was a great little garden area for a peaceful escape, and the room was quirky yet comfortable, adding to the hotel's unique vibe. The only minor thing was missing a fruit juice option at breakfast, but the continental spread was more than enough! 😊

Really good character, cozy ambiance.

Staying at cathedral gate was a dream! The hotel is right in the center of town. Monica at the front desk was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved our cozy double room and the delicious continental breakfast. The quirky charm of the old building added to the experience.

I had such a good stay! The quirky charm of the old building was enchanting, and the breakfast spread was excellent, especially the fruit salad and freshly baked croissants. I loved the little roof terrace where we enjoyed drinks overlooking the cathedral.

The location is fantastic, right near the cathedral and cute cafes. The breakfast was awesome, especially the fresh fruit salad. Staff were super friendly and even helped with our bags. Only bummer was the stairs. They were a bit tricky with our stroller. A charming place!

Great breakfast and character-filled rooms, but noisy street kept us awake at night.

I had the most enchanting stay! The quirky corridors of this historic hotel led me to a cozy twin room with an very nice view of the cathedral. Each morning, I savored a good continental breakfast, with a vibrant fruit salad that was almost too pretty to eat!
